As a celebrated choir trainer and conductor, George has a catalogue of recordings, television and radio broadcasts to his name. He has traveled to America and across Europe, directing choirs and orchestras and presenting workshops on choral singing. He is an award-winning conductor and his work training young voices has earned him an international reputation for inspiring leadership and recruiting and retaining choristers. His recording of Poulenc's Litanies à la Vierge noire earned 5-star reviews and was awarded a MusicWeb International Record of the Year and has enjoyed air time on BBC Radio 3 with his 'ground-breaking' recording of Tudor Music from Romsey Abbey. In 2008 he became one of the youngest directors to ever conduct a Live Radio 3 broadcast, at the age of 21. He has worked with Sir Thomas Allen, Graeme Danby, Claire Rutter, Joelle Harvey and James Newby. He has enjoyed many years collaborating with organist Colin Walsh and is a member of the Music Department team at Salisbury Cathedral, directing the chamber choir.
